Among the highlights of these sessions, Nicolas de Staël’s work Composition (1949) fetched €1,085,680, whilst Centre de table aux Marabouts (Marabouts Centrepiece), a unique rediscovery with six silver sculptures by Rembrandt Bugatti, sold for €794,400. Excellent results were also achieved for Josef Sima’s oil on canvas En mouvement (1959), which changed hands for €609,040 – more than three times its estimate – as well as Claude Lalanne’s copper sculpture L’Enfant à la tête de chou (1978), which reached €463,400.
At the Impressionist & Modern art auction, Bernard Buffet’s La Bretagne 3 (1982) found a buyer for €84,736, whilst Fernand Léger’s La mère et l'enfant (circa 1953) fetched €76,120. Finally, Amedeo Modigliani’s Nu de femme debout, les bras levés (1917) doubled its estimate and sold for €75,468.

The Post-War & Contemporary art auction celebrated artists from the international post-war scene. Robert Combas’s Soldat dansant la danse des avions (1983) sold for €165,500, whilst Kim Tschang-Yeul’s Waterdrops (1984) fetched €152,260.
Finally, from the Roger & Denise Vergé collection, César’s Pouce in white marble was sold for €77,212, and Joan Miró’s Grand triptyque noir (1969) went for €43,061.
